An important milestone in the treaty’s dissemination is programme to take place in Santa Marta (from 24 to 30 April).

The first international conference on Transitioning away from fossil fuel is unique moment, a horizontal and inclusive space outside the climate governance framework of the COPs, a voluntary roadmap emerging from COP30 in Belém in which the climate multitude (governments, institutions, academics, civil society organisations, indigenous peoples and Afro-descendant communities) work together to define a path towards phasing out fossil fuels through the promotion of a fair and just transition based on human rights and climate justice principles.
